My entire life is set to music.
I sing it in my head, feel it in my heart and hear it everywhere. Whenever I’m out at a restaurant or the grocery store, I listen for it. Not to get too deep, but I truly think that music is the link that keeps the world together. I could disagree with a stranger or friend alike on every topic, but I bet you anything we could bond over a song!
I was recently thinking about songs I listen to that sort of sing the soundtrack to my life…
Now obviously that’s a tall order…I mean, my experiences in life are always changing! In any case, I put together a really short list of songs that just click for me. You know that feeling when a track comes on and you instantly start mulling over your life experiences? That’s what all these songs are for me. It’s almost like a beautiful gut punch of nostalgia that makes me tear up and smile at the same time.
This song collection is an ebb and flow of chill and rhythm, softness and strength.
It has a connection to who I am, how I’m feeling and where I’m headed. I’m going to link to five of them here, feel free to click the YouTube links to listen. I’ll include a few of the lyrics that get stuck in my heart as captions. 🙂 The rest of the list will be here! Have you ever taken the time to make a soundtrack to your life? If you haven’t, trust me…this is an awesome way to get in touch with yourself, reminisce about your life and have quiet time with your emotions. Maybe these are songs you know, and perhaps you’ll hear something that gets into your soul. Music is a language, and I love that it speaks differently to every person. Please send me your playlists y’all, I seriously love listening to them!
