If there’s anything I truly love in this world, it’s music.
It’s the universal language that connects us as people, no matter what is going on in the world. I spend a lot of time curating music to listen to in my car, in my beauty room, etc. It’s like I arm myself with music to keep a steady stream of good vibes flowing all throughout the day. Similarly when I’m blogging or brainstorming, I love to listen to live performances on my Youtube channel or Spotify. Live performances touch my heart because I love to get a sense of what the artist is truly feeling when they perform. As someone who sings, I always feel so much when I’m on stage…I most likely watch so many performances because I yearn to keep this feeling close to me. I think performing live shows an incredible vulnerability and a willingness to show the world what’s in your heart. Below I’ve compiled five performances that give me “all the feels.” I hope they make you feel something too! Send me links to your favorite live performances so I can take a listen! I’ll definitely post more of these in the future, but until then, enjoy the first installment of some of my favorites.
The music of this song combined with Ryan Tedder’s flawless voice brings tears to my eyes…
There’s nothing Gallant holds back when he performs. It’s absolutely nuts and genius at the same time.
Just A Phase by Incubus. If it’s possible, this band sounds even better live than they do on their records. Brandon Boyd has one of the most underrated voices in the industry!
A stripped down version of one of Robyn’s biggest dance hits. Many have covered this, but no one can match the authenticity of her emotions in this song.
Hayley Williams is such a true vocal talent, and the way this Paramore lineup played together was magical.
